From IAM expertise to Seafront

Haidion was founded in 2018 in Helsinki by identity and access management practitioners. The team has spent years inside large enterprise and public sector identity programmes, working on architecture, integrations, access governance and the day to day operation of identity platforms.

That work covers the parts of identity governance that rarely appear in product datasheets: joiners who are also suppliers, organisations that reorganise mid project, source systems that disagree with each other, and access models that were designed for a company that no longer exists.

Across those programmes the same pattern kept repeating. Identity governance was slow to deploy, difficult to configure and expensive to change. Value arrived late, and small policy adjustments turned into projects of their own.

The obstacle was rarely the ambition of the organisation. It was the rigidity of the tooling, which expected the organisation to reshape itself around a fixed identity model.

Consulting can solve one environment at a time. Making identity governance genuinely easier required the knowledge to be built into the platform itself, so that configuration, policy and oversight are part of the product rather than bespoke work.
